Citifield

Growing up, we were a Mets family. My dad took us to the occasional game and names like Tom Seaver, Tug McGraw and Ed Kranepool used to hang in the air at 6 Burns Street.

The Mets have a new ball field, Citifield, and my brother gifted us two tickets to see a game against the Dodgers last night.

It was good to see Manny, a former and beloved Red Sox (or is it Red Sock?), who now plays for the Dodgers.

For dinner, I ate a pulled pork sandwich from Blue Smoke, relishing the delish $9 gourmet sandwich on a brioche bun :-)

The crowd was mellow (no Fenway crowd here, not that there's anything wrong with a Fenway crowd...I love me my Boston sports fans and drivers :-), the night was absolutely gorgeous, and it was a true pleasure relaxing and soaking in the sights and sounds sitting next to my honey.
