In the video, one of the gym members says something about "getting comfortable with being uncomfortable"...and that really sums it up for me. I have started thinking about taking a free trial class and then singing up for a few months. CrossFit is the strength building other half of eating Paleo.
Part of me can't even believe I am considering this, but another is quietly, expectantly giddy. (And there is the part of me that knows that this will be one of the hardest things I ever do.)

Wow...this looks intense. Maybe just jumping in and trying it is the best thing to do. But, here are my thoughts, for what they are worth...
I am a bit of a gym rat myself, but I don't go for the community. I don't want to be noticed in the gym. I go to get in the zone of contemplation from biking, running, or using the elliptical. I don't want to be told what to do. I like using the machines by myself, listening to my iPod on shuffle. And I am something of an extrovert...
But I have spent most of my life exercising, swimming, running (a couple of marathons), and biking. I think I have learned over my lifetime what I can do with my body, what I can't do, and how to train. This gym might offer you, a newbie, the steps on how to train your body.
But my gut reaction to this is, "Why would I want to do that? It looks like it would hurt too much!".
Maybe that's my age talking. I find I am not motivated any more to try really hard things, like training for another marathon or road race.
I've thought about trying Cross-Fit, but I thought it would be more like a Zumba class...so let me know how it goes for you!
Just a few quick thoughts.
