I guess I could be included in the Gleek category. I didn't start watching until 1/2 way through last season but now my DVR is set to record.
Also, being a Beatles fan I can appreciate a good rendition of one of their songs.
Did you ever see Across the Universe? I enjoyed it, although some parts were too long and some song choices not my favorite. However, the version of Let It Be (my favorite song) was very powerful.
I haven't seen Across The Universe. I've thought about it, but the length combined with the feeling that I probably wouldn't totally dig it have kept me away.
Is that the Nick Cave version? I love his cover of Let It Be.
The songs are sung by the actors in the movie. Let It Be was a very dramatic scene but it begins with a boy singing a cappella and then goes into a choir singing the rest. It's the visuals along with the singing that really moved me.
Here's the clip if you were interested (don't have the kids around when watching it, violent and sad...now that I think about it you may not want to watch it)
