We are celebrating Sandy's birthday tomorrow. I'm making a layer cake...waiting to see what she would like in between the cakes. The chocolate frosting which will be covering the cake or some mixed berry jam.I also made some cole slaw, picked up a mess of cold cuts to make a deli platter with in the morning, and, oh, there goes the timer for the eggs. I'll devil them in the morning before we head over.

Mmmm, if I wasn't stuffed up from a cold I think I'd be able to smell this cake. It looks good without anything on it!
It's a fantastic GFCF cake called "Featherlight Yellow Cake" by Bette Hagman. The "you'd never guess it" ingredient that makes the cake is mayonnaise!
Ooooo - those look good. But Cam can't eat mayo so I guess it's not an option for us - bummer.
