I was shocked to see shoots on such a cold day. We had a warm spell about a week or two ago, but it's been cold lately. I wasn't even happy to see them (harbingers of spring as they are) because I worry that they're going to freeze before Spring truly comes.
Gem was inspired by the light and shadows and dug out the sidewalk chalk. He remembered chalking the outline of the house a couple of summers ago. We ended up chalking our own outlines.
It was an unusually busy day. My energy did not flag though, even with a Dragon's Way breakfast of toasted walnuts with honey. We checked out our "new" bank (we're a WaMu family now being taken over by Chase), hit the toy store to see if they had the new Ugly Doll (they did), and went to the library.The kids started their new swim session and Sag, Gem and Owen are all in Guppy. Sag was re-tested and made it in! I checked in with one of his teachers after class to make sure she thought he was a good fit in the class and she said he did great :-)
We picked up some dinner at Whole Paycheck (food shopping was the one big task of the day that we ran out of time for) and now are getting ready to go pick Cap up.

I've been wanting to walk more and wish it was warmer out. I was surprised at how cold it was yesterday and this morning. It's good that you are trying to get out for an hour each day. The boys look like they enjoy it.
