• Gem needs oral surgery.
• Gem's begun using the word "depressed" to describe, casually, how he's feeling.

What's the oral surgery for? Is he ok with dentistry? Bridget is amazingly calm about it and Owen - not so much.
He is not okay with dentistry. This last visit he did great with the exam but they couldn't get an x-ray, which is par for the course and annoys the dentist every time... Our dentist has referred us to the ped dentist in town but I don't like her style with him (using shaming language/pressure to try to get him to do things for her) so I don't go there anymore.
The oral surgery is being called for because he has a baby tooth that is not budging and a tooth beyond ready, right behind it. There seems to be an infection brewing at the spot.
*Sigh*
Oops, I didn't mean the oral surgery sounded perfect. Talking about the food.
Sorry to hear Gem has to have surgery but he definitely doesn't want an infection (can be very painful).
