Our "main" gift to Gem this year was the game Carcassonne. I have yet to play it, but, as you can see, they dove right in. There is also an Ugly doll coming and a trip to the bookstore for some books. Carcassonne was not on his wish list...and it showed when he unwrapped it. The perils of living with a mother who is happy to look at wish lists for guidance, but often goes "off list" to unearth what she thinks of as the perfect little something...
