Lucky

My sis and bro-in-law came over today so Cap and I could go out for a bit. While the kids played baseball and soccer with their aunt and uncle, we went out for lunch. Time was of the essence (the blueberry pie took a bit longer than expected) so we nixed Indian food in Jersey City and cruised down Bloomfield Avenue to see what our options were.

The Indian place was closed. Mesob was not. Ethiopian it was.

vegetarian sampler for 2.

he loves his Miser Wat.

seasonal, local, organic yum.

I am a lucky girl in many, many ways.

My mom and I ate there once after a Garden State Equality volunteer session. We didn't go veg though. It was yummy but apparently I'm not a fan of injira. And definitely not neat/coordinated enough for it, lol!

Another time we went to the cuban place down the road. Mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm. I don't think you can eat anything there though now that I think about it. Really nice place though with a cute courtyard.

Your town seems quite the place for restaurants ;-)

Yes, lots of good restaurants around here. I've never been to the Cuban place. Good to know you liked it. Yeah, Ethiopian would be a hard sell if you don't like injera! Their injera does have wheat in it...I have not been keeping strictly GFCF lately.
