Highlights: Sag's self-portrait painted at art class and Gem's marshmallow potato chip sandwich which he waited all afternoon (hanging out at the art studio followed by a play date with new friends followed by a CSA veggie and fruit pick up) to make.
Lowlights: Sag punching one of our new friends in the head and Gem stressing about being touched by "wheat-y hands".
Off to make dinner from "scratch" for the first time in what feels like forever...swordfish, rice and broccoli.

OMG - that's an awesome self portrait! (Sorry he punched a kid. Youch!) And I'm so glad Gem enjoyed his sandwich.
I saw on Goodreads that you enjoyed Stitches. It just got nominated for a book award (I can't remember which - embarrassing.) Looks good.
I love this sp! and that sandwich looks delightful:) Did he eat it all?
He did eat the whole thing, but said later on that next time he will have the chips on the side. The edges of the chips were unpredictably uncomfortable while chewing :-)
