Elsa chose this book to give to Sag for his birthday. Then in Florida, Wendy told me Sophia had been deeply moved by it. I read it this morning in an hour of quiet solitude at home.
It is that rare, wonderful book, the ones you wonder about and wait for without knowing what they are or when they'll come.
The illustrations were also beautiful and perfectly balanced with the story.
