Superheroes

The boys went to a homeschool day at our local art museum yesterday.

Comic books and super hero lore have been a vivid facet of Kinder and First's lives for the better part of a year. They were in Cap's childhood and adolescence, too, and it was serendipitous that he could take them to this one off session centered on the museum's current "Superheroes and Superheroines" exhibit.

They did a gallery walk and then worked on art projects creating and developing their own super heroes/heroines. They worked on cover art (the piece at the top done by Kinder, a picture that spans what would be the front and back covers of a book) and capes with painted logos (below, photographed by Kinder).

Their superhero charcaters were: Writeman (First) and Superdraw (Kinder).

Superdraw's power is the power to draw things in the air which than take actual form and matter thwarting the plans of villains.

Writeman's power is that when he looks into someone's eyes they know what they want to write, if they want to write something.
